Development of next-generation VIPV modules for electric buses and last-mile vehicles, including shingled and curved panels, new encapsulation materials, and high-efficiency power converters. This WP lays the technical foundation to ensure performance, durability, and safety.
WP2 – PV-Integrated Charging Stations
(Lead: UNIVERSITY OF TWENTE, M1-M20)
Design of resilient, solar-powered charging stations using high-efficiency converters. The focus is on maximizing solar use, improving grid interaction, and reducing dependence on public grid power.
WP3 – AI-Driven E-Mobility Platform
(Lead: SIEMENS SA, M1–M24)
Creation of an AI-powered platform to manage solar-integrated fleets. It will optimize charging schedules, energy flows, and grid services using real-time data and advanced algorithms.
WP4 – Scalable Manufacturing
(Lead: BOZANKAYA, M3–M30)
Industrialization of VIPV solutions by optimizing manufacturing processes and preparing the WP1 prototypes for mass production and integration into commercial EV lines.
WP5 – Pilots & Validation
(Lead: TÜBİTAK, M1–M48)
Deployment and testing of the technologies in real operating environments. This WP evaluates performance, costs, and operational benefits across the project’s pilot sites.
WP6 – Market Uptake & Exploitation
(Lead: R2M SPAIN, M12–M48)
Development of business models, exploitation strategies, and investor engagement to accelerate the adoption and scalability of SUN-TRANS innovations.
WP7 – Communication & Dissemination
(Lead: BASQUE MOBILITY AND LOGISTICS CLUSTER, M1–M48)
Continuous communication, stakeholder engagement, and visibility activities. This WP produces training materials, outreach events, and dissemination actions to support acceptance and impact.
WP8 – Project Management
(Lead: TÜBİTAK, M1–M48)
Overall coordination, administration, financial management, and quality assurance. This WP also ensures ethical compliance and proper data management in line with EU standards.
